Where is the ALRS XII launch site?
How to get there
Take the Highway to Neuchâtel, then follow it further in direction "La Chaux-de-Fonts. Exit at "Boudevilliers", then to Fontaines. From there, the road to the launch site will be marked with yellow signs "ARGOS" or "ALRS". The road from Fontaines to the launch site is closed for the general public during ALRS, but you are of course expected to nevertheless take it.
| Neuchâtel is located to the west of Bern at the Lac Neuchâtel: |

| The Val de Ruz is located between Neuchâtel and La Chaux-de-Fonds: |

The ALRS Launch Site is in the middle of the Val de Ruz. To reach it, follow the road marked green on the map at right to Fontaines. From there, yellow street signs "ARGOS" or "ALRS" show the way to the site.

Please only drive on the roads marked in the map. To get a more detailed view, click on the map.

Launch Site ALRS XII
The rules are the same as ever:
- There is no parking in the field near the prepping area.
- The road is too narrow for two way traffic, this is why you can circulate only in the direction indicated by the arrows on the map.
- To find the way to the place where you can unload your car, check the signs (ARGOS).
- Please unload your car immediatly and drive on along the road, so other flyers can do the same.
- In Fontaines, the road is blocked for all traffic except for visitors to ALRS.
- The parking for ALRS is along the road Fontaines-Chézard on the right hand side. Please check the ARGOS parking signs.
Take care
Our Launch Site is located in the Val the Ruz, north of Neuchâtel, in an idyllic rural area. There for we ask you to please respect the following:
- Don't drive outside the roads, not even to pass other cars.
- If you damage the terrain, you will have to rembourse the local farmers.
- Please respect the fenced-off and restricted areas!
- To recover your rockets, please use the available paths and avoid damaging crops and high grass.
- clean up your litter (even cigarette stubs) and use our trassh bags (provided free at the registration)
Pictures
Here is a webcam overseeing the Val de Ruz. And of course there are plenty of pictures in the photo galleries from previous ALRS.
